Anemone Reef is a beautiful Phuket scuba diving site located midway between Phi Phi Islands & Phuket Island. Whilst the visibility is very changeable, the volume of marine life & abundance of corals means it’s always an enjoyable dive. Most suited to PADI Open Water divers and above, it’s a great place to get your PADI Advanced Open Water license!
Anemone Reef Phuket
Phuket scuba diving day trips to Anemone Reef are available year round, often as the third & final dive during out our Phi Phi Island scuba diving day trips. Situated roughly halfway between Phuket & the Phi Phi Islands it is comprised of several submerged pinnacles which rise up to within 5 meters of the surface at the shallowest point. On a clear day you can see all the way to the seabed which gently slopes from 18 to 30 meters at the base of the pinnacles.
Dive Site Information
Level: All levels of certified divers.
Depth: 5m to 30m.
Visibility: 8m to 25m
Current: Often mild but can sometimes be strong, depending on the lunar cycle.
Water Temp: Around 29°C / 84°F.
When: All year round. Usually at it’s best from November to April.
Marine Life: Seahorses, many different species of moray eels, bamboo sharks, nudibranchs, lion fish, scorpion fish, ornate ghost pipefish, snappers, and too many more to list. There are also occasional sightings of whale sharks.
