Koh Bida Nok Dive Site Phi Phi Islands
Popular dive site Bida Nok close to Koh Phi Phi, is a horse shoe shaped limestone karst which rises vertically from the ocean floor. The underwater topography is varied, including a shallow bay to the southern edge. Here divers can explore the coral & boulder formations, encountering various species of moray eels protruding from darkened cracks, as well as blue spotted rays which lurk below the sand with only their protruding giving them away. The west side is sprinkled with giant boulders which attract huge shoals of snapper, often being hunted by trevally appearing like camera flashes with their reflective silvery, ambushing their prey at high speed. The north-east edge is a vertical wall covered in purple and blue soft corals, that drops to the sandy bottom at 30 meters. Marine life is both diverse & abundant at this dive site.
