Pawara offers an ideal four day & four night schedule which includes some of the best scuba diving Thailand has to offer from the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean. Offering superior scuba diving compared with the Gulf of Thailand, Similans Islands diving safaris are a favorite Thailand scuba diving destination where Thailand diving liveaboard cruises operate from October to May. Pawara Similans liveaboard guests will enjoy fourteen superb dives in the vicinity of the stunning Similan Islands, Koh Bon & Koh Tachai which are both magnets for manta rays, & at Richelieu Rock which for many is the highlight of any Thailand liveaboard diving tour.
Pawara Similans liveaboard operates four night Thailand diving trips while the Similan Islands are open for diving, from October to May. The name “Pawara” comes from the old Thai Sanskrit word, which means “Treasure of the Corals”. Refitted in 2016 she is one of the largest Similan Islands liveaboards & a maximum of twenty-six guests are comfortably accommodated onboard. The main deck houses two master cabins featuring queen size beds & spectacular ocean views, & four deluxe twin bunk bed cabins with large windows.

Pawara has four standard double or twin cabins with smaller windows which have either twin or double beds & three budget cabins on the lower deck. All cabins have private ensuite bathrooms with the exception of the budget cabins which have shared bathrooms. All cabins are air-conditioned. Highlights include a large dive deck, comfy indoor saloon with TV+DVD, sizable outdoor dining area & a spacious sun deck. Thailand scuba diving cruises including Pawara Similans liveaboard have evening departures. Complimentary transfers are provided from Phuket or Khao Lak hotels to Pawara, moored at the pier just south of Khao Lak. Guest pick-up times vary according to their hotel location with transfers from Patong scheduled for 5:00 pm & Phuket Airport pick-ups for between 6.00 pm to 6:30 pm. On arrival at Pawara guests receive a warm welcome aboard, after which dinner will be served. Pawara Similans Islands diving liveaboard will set sail at around 9:00 pm & guests will awake to find themselves in the beautiful surroundings of the Similan National Marine Park to begin their amazing Similan Islands scuba diving itinerary.

Similans – Four Nights – 14 Dives
Master Ensuite Cabins – 37,700 THB per person
Deluxe Ensuite Cabins (Twin Bunks) – 34,700 THB per person
Standard Ensuite Cabins (Twin or Double) – 32,700 THB per person
Budget Cabins (shared bathroom) – 26,700 THB per person
Hotel pick-ups begin at 4:30 pm on the day of departure, with all guests arriving at Tap Lamu Pier close to Khao Lak by 7:30 pm. Pawara boat introduction formalities are completed & a welcome dinner is served before MV Pawara gets underway to the Similan Islands at around 9:00 pm.
Day 1 – Three day dives & one night dive in the Similan Islands.
Day 2 – Three dives & one night dive in the Similans & Koh Bon, where there’s a good chance to dive with giant manta rays
Day 3 – Four dives Koh Tachai where whale sharks & mantas are often spotted, & at the five star Richelieu Rock.
Day 4 – Two day dives at Koh Bon or the Boon Soong Wreck, before cruising back to the pier where guests are transferred back to their Khao Lak or Phuket hotels for approximately 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Flying After Diving Guidelines
Current Divers Alert Network (D.A.N.) guidelines state: After single no-decompression dives, a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 12 hours is suggested. After multiple no-decompression dives per day, or multiple days of diving (Liveaboard diving included), a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 18 hours is suggested.
