Excitement levels increase with the anticipation of encountering giant manta rays as the dive boat approaches the dive site South Tip at Racha Noi. The depth, usually outstanding underwater visibilityunderwater topography & frequent visits by gargantuan pelagics.
Racha Noi South Tip
South Tip located at the southernmost tip of Racha Noi is used as both a cleaning & feeding station by giant manta rays. South Tip, a deep dive site which in places drops down past 50 meters can only be dived safely at certain times of the month when the currents are manageable. If South Tip is on the itinerary for a Racha Noi day trip, experienced divers may choose to dive at South Tip or at the nearby dive site East Coast Bay, which offers easier dive conditions suitable for all levels of scuba diver.

Level: Intermediate to advanced level divers only.
Depth: 12m to 50m.
Visibility: 15m to 40m.
Current: Moderate to strong.
Water Temp: Around 29°C / 84°F.
When: All year round but depends on both weather conditions & tides controlled by the monthly lunar cycle.
Marine Life: Giant manta rays, whale sharks, giant trevally, barracuda, snapper, tuna, octopus, quid, & more
